Image Transfer

originally done in a darkroom transferring the negative to positive paper to create a photograph.

negatives can be scanned into a computer to store and maniplate if needed.

photographs now go direct onto memory cards which are placed into the camera, this way is quite easy to use and safer as you can swap cards at any time during a photography shoot to save images in the instance of a card corrupting, a USB transfer using a card reader to a computer is required for these, which come in various formats such as compact flash, SD, micro SD sony memory stick and now XQD cards.
