Wex has a partnership with Nikon UK to drip feed used and returned cameras on to the market to keep prices stable.
Nikon also is in partnership with Sony to use thier sensors in digital cameras.
More remarkable possibly and it truly does pay to do your research when buying a camera is to check who actually makes what camera you want.
I have been looking at a high end compact camera that shoots raw and has a good max aperture, so decided on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX100, whilst looking at reviews on this (it gets best buy and near top ratings in most places) I have found that it is actually EXACTLY the same camera inside as the Leica D lux typ 109! both are made by Panasonic in thier factory under license from Leica, in fact the only difference to the cameras is that one has a better grip (the Panasonic) and the other a much more snob factor badge (the Leica).
Check your brands and save money, the Panasonic is retailing around the £500 value whilst with a Leica badge…… not much change from £900
